BOX OFFICE Saturday 12th September Chester Race Day

Every year a group of members go to Chester in September for a day at the races. This year, because of Covid, no spectators are allowed on the course. Not to be outdone, we are bringing Chester Races to Longon VM club on Saturday the 12th September. Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy a great afternoons racing with your fellow members. Tickets will be priced at just £10 and this will enable you to go to any part of our virtual course, including the champagne tent and Main Stand Bar. Your ticket will also entitle you to a meal of Fish n Chips or Pie and Chips at the end of the racing. Tickets are limited because of social distancing and must be bought and paid for in advance by clicking the link below. There will also be a sweepstake on the day costing £5 which you can also pay for in advance. To enter, you need to choose a horse from each of the 7 races at Chester. If your horse wins,you will get 3 points, 2 points if it finishes 2nd and 1 point if it comes 3rd. The first race is at 1.30pm and your chosen horses must be given to Stuart Norcross by 1.15pm to qualify for the sweepstake. The prize money will be divided between the 3 punters with the most points at the end of the racing. If you want to have a bet you will need to use your own online account with whoever. The club will be open at 12pm on the Saturday so you can read your Sporting Life etc and weigh up form plus consume a few drinks we hope.
