Longton VM Open Doubles Competition: Covid-19 Compliance (in accordance with BCGBA)

28 September – 4 October 2020

Competitors 1. Maximum of 30 including players, officials, spectators on any one occasion around the front green. No games on back green on these nights. 2. 8 pairs (ie.16 individuals) per qualifying night (Mon/Tues/Wed/Friday) playing down to 2 qualifying pairs for Sunday Final Day. This leaves a maximum of 14 other people each night. 3. Final Day to be 8 pairs and 30 people maximum at any one occasion. 4. Entry Fee to be paid on-line or cheque payable to Longton Sports & Social Club once the entry/date has been confirmed. Refunds available if the Competition is cancelled. 5. Records of attendance will be kept for 21 days to assist NHS Track & Trace. 6. Everyone is asked to observe strict social distancing and good hygiene (see 14 below) AT ALL TIMES DURING GAMES & WHILST SPECTATING. Following 9 Sept Govt changes, keep social groups to 6 or below, and comply with HANDS (washing) - FACE (mask) – SPACE (2m). Safety Measures 5. From the car park, follow “Entry Sign” to Registration Point. On leaving, follow “Exit Sign”. 6. At Registration Point, competitors to complete: a) Temperature check. b) Declaration Form indicating that they: - are not symptomatic. - are not living in a household with a possible Covid-19 infection. - have not been asked to isolate by NHS Track & Trace because they are in contact with a known Covid-19 case. - acknowledge that participating increases risk of infection even with social distancing, and that they are opting to bowl. 7. Then go to Bowling Hut and register with Competition Organiser. 8. Competitors are asked to bring their own hand sanitiser as well as mask. 9. Before games start, all competitors are required to hand sanitise. A Sanitising Point will be available, where blocks and mats will be sanitised before each game. 10. Wash hands or sanitise after each game. 11. Officials/Referees will measure where necessary. 12. Be careful of touching benches, doors, gates, etc. 13. Undue raising of voices should be avoided to avoid airborne transmission of virus. 14. All social distancing and safety measures to be observed before & during games & spectating: - No practice before games. Players & spectators to be 2 metres apart at all times or 1 metre plus mask. Blocks to be at least 4 metres away from nearest game. No touching of hands or other players` woods. No sweat or saliva to be applied to bowls or jack at any time. If someone outside your game touches the block, it should be cleaned prior to continuing the game. Club Premises & Toilets 15. Abide by the one-way system and safety requirements when entering and leaving the premises. 16. The kitchen is out of bounds and refreshments are not being provided this year. 17. The toilets operate a one in/one out system. 18. The bar is open for alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, coffee, crisps, etc. Payment by card only.
